The yarn is tied and dyed before it reaches the loom, so the motif has a deliberately feathered edge. A crisp edge on an ikat means it was printed.
Dry clean only. Store rolled rather than hung.
Silk resist-dyed before weaving, in madder red with a woven geometric border. The soft edge on the motif is the ikat, not a flaw.
